What is Timefolk?
Timefolk is the local sessions marketplace: ID-verified locals for interview practice, language practice and newcomer help, always in a public place. You request a session with a local, they accept, and you meet somewhere public for a fixed time.
In one line
Your time. Your people. Your city. Timefolk connects you with a verified local who already knows what you need to learn, for an hour or two, in a café, a library or another public place.
What people use it for
Practising for an interview with someone from their field. Speaking a language with someone who grew up with it. Settling into a new city with someone who already calls it home. Also career conversations, networking, museum visits and city walks.
How a request works
Choose a host, an activity, an approved public place, a time and a length. The price is fixed and shown before you pay. The host accepts or declines; if they do not answer in time, the request is cancelled and your money comes back to you.
Who the hosts are
Locals who earn from what they know. Every host verifies their identity with a government ID and a liveness check, and keeps 80% of their price.
Questions
Is Timefolk a dating app?
No. Timefolk is not a dating, matchmaking or escort service. Romantic or sexual services are prohibited on every session and every profile.
Is Timefolk a social network?
No. There is no public feed of strangers and no messaging between members. You request a session for a purpose, such as interview practice or language practice, and meet in a public place.
Is it safe?
Every member is ID-verified before anyone meets, every session is in an approved public place, both sides check in on arrival, and reports are read by a person. In some cities you can add a Guardian, a licensed security professional who stays nearby.
How much does a session cost?
Each host sets their own price within their city's range. The total is fixed and shown before you pay, in your local currency.
Where can I use it?
